what it means to be in the Endogame

The Endogame Network is a single contiguous mesh of interrelated individuals, all connected by blood or marriage. It's a "single family" in that sense, but there's still nuance to it.

no singular shared ancestry

While there are definitely distinct ancestor branches, they are joined together by marriage. It's important not to treat the in-law of an in-law as a blood relative.

These are marriages or parent/child relationships that entire branches depend on to remain in network.

peripheral star power

These are individuals technically in network, but who aren't structurally relevant to holding it together.

cap ancestor

These are the earliest entries in dynasties. Many ancestors in the Endogame have hundreds of direct descendants.

lookup relationships

The FamilyEcho file allows you to look up the most direct relationship between any two individuals in the file, allowing you to quickly determine actual relationships within the web.
